Terms of Use
Effective 13 July 2026
These are the plain-language rules for using Kokology. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What Kokology is
Kokology provides reflective stories and imagination journeys for entertainment and gentle self-reflection. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, psychological assessment, or professional advice. The interpretations are creative prompts, not facts or predictions about you.
If you need urgent or professional support, use the resources on our Support & safety page.
Using the site
You may use Kokology for personal, lawful purposes. Please do not interfere with the site, try to bypass its security, misuse its account systems, scrape it in a way that harms availability, or use its content to mislead or harm another person.
Optional accounts
You can use the journeys without an account. If you sign in, you are responsible for access to your Google account and for activity under your Kokology session. You may sign out, download your local data, or delete your Kokology account from the account page.
We may suspend or close an account when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or the law. We will not use this right to prevent a legitimate privacy or deletion request.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device, what optional account sync stores, which service providers help run the site, and how to request access, correction, or deletion.
Content and ownership
Kokology’s original writing, artwork, recordings, design, and software are owned by Brett Langston or used with permission. You may enjoy and share links to the site, but you may not republish, sell, or present substantial parts of the content as your own without permission.
Your private notes and reflection wording remain yours. Kokology does not claim ownership of them.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Kokology safe and available, but the site may sometimes be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. Features and journeys may be added, revised, or removed. Material changes to these terms will be shown by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
No promises about outcomes
Kokology is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a reflection will produce any particular insight or benefit. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Brett Langston is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, this free reflective service. You remain responsible for decisions you make and for seeking qualified help when appropriate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
